LifeSearch Modern Slavery Statement

LifeSearch prides itself on its open, tolerant, inclusive culture and welcomes people from every walk of life. We are an inclusive business and consider that the most relevant human rights are the right to just and favourable working conditions, the right to be free from discrimination, protection of minorities and the right to be free from compulsory labour.

It is important to us to promote an open and honest dialogue within our business, and all LifeSearchers are encouraged to raise concerns via our Say What You See (whistleblowing) process, and our Courageous Conversations feedback tool.

Due Diligence & Training

We respect and acknowledge that modern slavery is a global issue and that no economy, industry or sector is exempt. LifeSearch are fully committed to complying with the objectives of the Act. However, as a financial services organisation, we consider the risk of modern slavery existing within our business to be very low.

We operate appropriate measures to help mitigate against any such risks to ensure that we remain vigilant, through activities such as completing due diligence with our partners and suppliers. Responses received from the due diligence process are reviewed and information of concern is investigated further.

We are committed to ensuring that LifeSearchers throughout the business, particularly the People & Culture and Senior leadership team, have the knowledge and understanding required in order to properly discharge the legal and ethical responsibilities we must comply with.

Our Responsibilities

We accept that the duty to identify the risk of modern slavery occurring within our business, and its supply chain is an on-going responsibility for all LifeSearchers. We will continue to review our processes and assess the due diligence responses we receive from our suppliers’ questionnaires accordingly.
